Learn more about our twin cities …

Welcome to Heppenheim, the jewel of the famous Mountain Road! Located at the foot of the Odenwald Mountains, this charming German town radiates warmth with its colorful half-timbered houses and flower-filled streets. Here, heritage meets conviviality: it's impossible to resist the market square with its picturesque town hall, the impressive St. Peter's Church, or the panoramic view from Starkenburg Castle.

Surrounded by renowned vineyards, Heppenheim celebrates its wines every year with festive markets and lively evenings that showcase local expertise—Riesling lovers, you're in for a treat! Proud of its traditions, the city also offers a magical Lantern Trail, where more than 150 lanterns illuminate the legends of Hesse.

With street festivals, wine celebrations, and nature walks, Heppenheim offers a peaceful, authentic, and lively living environment. Whether you are passionate about history, a nature lover, or simply curious to discover a real German town with character, Heppenheim is waiting to surprise you. Come and experience it for yourself!

Schönaich is a charming German village where life is good, just a stone's throw from Stuttgart! Nestled in lush greenery in the heart of Baden-Württemberg, this friendly little town charms visitors with its tranquility, rolling landscapes, and festive spirit. Here, you can stroll through the pretty town center dotted with traditional houses and historic buildings, discover St. Guy's Church or the local museum, and enjoy the central park for sunbathing or attending an outdoor concert.

Nature lovers are in for a treat: walks and hikes through the Schönbuch Forest, bike rides, or breaks by Lake Sulzbach are all on the agenda, as is a round of golf for the more athletic. When it comes to food, you can enjoy Swabian specialties and local wines in the small local inns.

Schönaich also stands out for its community life and traditional festivals, such as the Entengassenfest (Duck Alley Festival), where friendliness, music, and a warm atmosphere are always guaranteed! Here, everything is designed to share, celebrate, and welcome visitors with a smile. Don't wait any longer to fall in love with the authenticity of Schönaich, a dynamic little town that knows how to cultivate the German art of living.

San Antonio, the "capital of Texan fun," welcomes you with open arms! Known for its iconic Alamo and vibrant River Walk, the city blends tradition, festive spirit, and modernity. Imagine strolling along the canals lined with restaurants offering spicy aromas, where every terrace pulls out all the stops when it comes to Tex-Mex flavors—the city is also a star of the 2025 Michelin Guide, thanks to its creative chefs and new hotspots such as the highly anticipated Mexico City.

Here, it's party time all year round: Fiesta (late April-early May) transforms San Antonio into a colorful carnival, parades light up the historic center, and every neighborhood buzzes with concerts, street performances, and art exhibitions. Families love the zoo (the new gorilla enclosure is a particular favorite!) and Morgan's Wonderland, a super-inclusive park for all children.

San Antonio also boasts more than 250 days of sunshine per year, walks among colonial heritage sites, flower-filled parks, and lively arty neighborhoods. Want to get a bird's-eye view? Head to the historic castle in the King William District or stroll through the brand-new San Pedro Creek Culture Park, an urban oasis combining nature and art.

A warm, welcoming city that's always on the move, San Antonio offers an unforgettable journey to the heart of Texas... without ever losing its smile! Ready for adventure?

Twinning activities – Every week

English has become the universal language of communication when traveling abroad or meeting foreigners.

In Europe, English is learned by 97.3% of students.

Furthermore, we have noticed that during our meetings with our friends from Heppenheim, English comes naturally if no one speaks the partner's language.

That's why, every Monday evening from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.,Carole Simon or Nicole Morin welcomes you to the

1st floor, 54 rue de Versailles, 78150 Le Chesnay

for conversations in English.

German is an ideal addition for anyone who wants to work abroad.

It is very useful when you are twinned with a German city.

That's why, every other Wednesday from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Michèle Loiseau welcomes you to the

1st floor, 54 rue de Versailles, 78150 Le Chesnay

for conversations in German.
